Investment Seminars 2018

If you’re looking for help with your future financial plans – come along to one of our free seminar events.

Our seminars are designed to help people with investible wealth of over £100,000 understand the opportunities and risks in financial markets and provide actionable advice on tax planning.

Financial markets have had the first serious wobble for five years after many of the world’s stock markets reached new highs in January. Our Head of Investment, Chris Gilchrist, will review the outlook and ask how much attention you should pay to commentators who are emphasising the higher risks present in markets today.

Sharon Collier, a partner in South-West law firm Porter Dodson, will discuss inheritance tax. While the new Residence Nil Rate Band will enable some people to inherit up to £1 million tax-free by 2020, she will outline some of the tax traps you may need to avoid.

We will also explain legitimate methods whereby you can defer capital gains tax, for example on the sale of buy-to-let properties, and potentially secure valuable tax reliefs.

Our seminars run from 9.30 am to 1 pm at venues in Somerset, followed by a complimentary lunch.

The Spring 2018 dates are March 20th, April 24thand May 15th.

Please contact Sara Rossiter on 01934 511 511 if you would like to attend.
